Full Job Description

ENGIE UK is made up of several Global Business Units (GBUs) and a Global Energy Management and Sales (GEMS) team. Traditionally, communications activity has been owned by the different GBUs and delivered by colleagues embedded within those brands. Today, however, we are moving to an exciting, centralised "One ENGIE" approach. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised communicator who can help support the whole communications team and assist with the planning, creation, and execution of our strategy. This is a new role in our business and an exciting opportunity to gain experience across the whole comms spectrum at a fast-growing, ambitious, and purpose-driven global business. Key deliverables:

  • Content creation and channel management
  • Using Poppulo, create and send a monthly newsletter with versions tailored for different colleague populations
  • Using a Wordpress CMS, upload news onto our global communications app
  • With support from the comms team, create and own social media content plans which share and amplify content from across our businesses
  • With support from the comms team, create and post social media assets, monitoring our feeds and escalating where responses are needed
  • Own the UK Sharepoint intranet site and keep pages up to date with content
  • Creation of general comms collateral when required, including colleague emails, presentations, blogs, articles, posters, assets etc
  • Support with the creation of communications plans, both internal and external
  • Measurement
  • Report on engagement stats from our various channels such as read rates, click throughs etc
  • Create and collate survey feedback
  • Administration
  • Help to arrange town halls, webinars and other events/meetings
  • Help to arrange company conferences/offsites
  • Support with the editorial planner and annual comms planner
  • Issue communications to the business
  • Support the business with communications needs as required

    At least two/three years of communications experience, ideally within the energy sector
  • Comfortable working at pace within a complex matrix environment
  • Experience in a multinational organisation
  • Degree or formal qualification in relevant subject
  • Knowledge And Skills:
  • Outstanding writer, able to write for different audiences and make the complex simple
  • Experienced at using various CMS systems such as Wordpress
  • Experienced at content planning for social media
  • Great stakeholder skills and a real "people" person
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, and with a range of different stakeholders
  • Ability to use tools such as Canva to create assets and templates
  • Good logistical / planning skills
  • Proactive and able to prioritise
