37.5 Hours Per Week (Part time considered - minimum of 22.5 hours per week)
Are you a communications professional who is passionate about the importance of prevention in our health system, and helping to improve health outcomes for all people regardless of their background?

Then this role could be for you. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Mid and South Essex Communications team, working alongside the dynamic Strategy Directorate working as an integral member of the health inequalities and prevention team to deliver a wide range of public health, health inequalities, and prevention communications activities., Reducing health inequalities across mid and south Essex is a strategic objective of the ICB. The Health Inequalities and Prevention Team is responsible for delivering national and local health inequalities and prevention programmes, and this communications role is essential in helping to support population behaviour change towards healthier lifestyles.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to take the lead on developing targeted, insight-driven campaigns to help reduce health inequalities and support population health management initiatives. Youll be integrated within the Health Inequalities and Prevention Team and be part of their weekly team meetings.
This is an exciting and varied role where you can use your initiative to develop and deliver a wide range of communications and engagement activities that will help to make a real difference in reducing health inequalities and improving health outcomes for local people.
You'll be adept at writing for different audiences and across a range of platforms - using insight to inform your work. Experience of design and content development is highly desirable, as is knowledge of Core20+5. With strong interpersonal skills, youll help coordinate engagement events, develop case studies to illuminate the impact of population health management initiatives, work with suppliers to help deliver campaigns, and much more.
Mid and South Essex ICB is a statutory organisation responsible for the planning and delivery of local health and care services, across Mid and South Essex and is part of the wider integrated care system. Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) are partnerships of health and care organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area. The headquarters for the organisation is Phoenix Court, Basildon, but there is a hybrid model of working, which includes working across Mid and South Essex and home working.
