Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join mFuse as a UK Comms Planning Director. The role requires strong leadership, integrated media planning skills and advanced knowledge of traditional and digital media channels.,

  • Lead on end-to-end cross-channel media recommendations and give clear direction to the team to ensure the approach is fuelled by insights/data and tells a clear story - pulling in cross-team and senior support as and when required.
  • Support the Client Lead to manage team workflow, assigning responsibilities and supporting the strategic framework.
  • Overseeing all outputs - ensuring that every document is closely quality controlled for excellence and delivered on time. Examples include media strategy, channel planning recommendations and campaign reviews.
  • Lead and present regularly at client and agency meetings on a variety of different topics, with gravitas.
  • Ensuring team knowledge of client business and industry/marketplace expertise to help clients meet their marketing priorities and deliver opportunities for growth.
  • Coach, develop, and support the Planning Manager.
  • Demonstrate ongoing appetite for new learnings, including proposing and pushing test & learn opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with industry news so that you have an exceptional understanding of the media landscape and share with wider team.
  • Behave like a true extension of the clients' team and provide a senior point of contact for the client.
  • Own financial day to day management of the account, for example, forecasting, reconciliations, payments, billings, financial tracking.
  • Maintain good relations with external agencies, internal teams & media owners to understand what services and products exist that could help deliver our client's business KPIs.
  • Raise the profile of the account in the agency by producing, submitting, and publicly talking about our work.
  • Collaborate closely with the creative team and develop an understanding of their tools and processes.
  • Direct the preparation of competitor spend and audience insights reports
  • Direct the creation of post-campaign-analysis reports.
  • Oversee the internal briefing process to ensure data and insight-led planning is at the heart of what we do.

  • Someone with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities, whilst ensuring that work maintains a high standard. Someone who can manage their own workload and manage up and down accordingly.
  • Is keen to challenge norms, seek new opportunities whilst being well informed and able to talk with authority about the current and future trends, in technology and media.
  • Someone who can speak with authority with clients, gaining their respect and trust, so that they increasingly become the go-to client contact.
  • You have a clear understanding of campaign evaluation, knowing which buying metrics will drive client's marketing and business objectives.
  • You bring an in-depth knowledge and application of core media tools including Nielsen Ad Intel, eTelmar, YouGov & MediaExplorer.
