Full Job Description

As a Communications & Social Value Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Promoting the importance of individual and team development and actively encouraging the use of development tools, processes, and conversations for personal and professional development.

  • Improving employee engagement across the contracts and facilitating two-way communication, leading on internal communications channels, including weekly and monthly newsletters, digital screens in break out areas, employee calls and face-to-face briefings.

  • Leading on proactive and reactive communications for North Northamptonshire and West Northamptonshire contracts, creating and delivering the internal and external communications plan.

  • Be the first point of contact for the client communications team, all external communications, including media statements, press releases, case studies and ensuring we have the correct approvals in place.

  • First draft of all external communications, including media statements, press releases, case studies and responsible for ensuring all verifications are in place.

    Relevant experience in a similar role, such as communications, public affairs, customer relations or stakeholder liaison.

  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to take complex information and make it easy to understand and accessible to our people, with the ability to tailor written content to suit different audiences and channels.

  • A strategic thinker and collaborator, with experience of creating and delivering communications and customer strategies.

  • Effective people skills, with the ability to form productive relationships with colleagues at all levels.

  • Effective stakeholder relationship skills, with the ability to support effective storytelling, information and idea sharing.
