Full Job Description

We're on the hunt for 2 special people to undertake a caretaking service for our 2 blocks of flats in Northampton. Are you hunting for a new challenge with an ambitious organisation and ready to join us on our mission to deliver 'Great Places', Great Services', and 'Great Tomorrows'.

You'll responsible for ensuring the sites are safe and secure, managing contractors, undertaking Health & Safety checks and supporting our Community Housing Officers with low level anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes as required.

You'll be looking for variety and autonomy in your new role as put your strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise, along with your ability to work independently to great use.

You'll also find with Futures the perfect platform to showcase your ability to consistently meet deadlines, apply policy and procedures effectively and establish great relationships with colleagues and customers alike.

A few key points from our role profile:

  • Undertake minor maintenance issues on site as requested by colleagues in repairs and assets, these may include but not limited to changing light bulbs, cleaning out bin stores to ensure fire risk is reduced, changing locks and general clearance from communal areas.

  • Carry out regular health, safety and compliance checks on site and report as requested.

  • Ensure all communal areas, including car parking areas are clear from rubbish or other items which may cause a fire hazard.

  • Carry out additional cleaning of communal stairwells and corridors as necessary e.g. due to contractor holidays or as requested.

  • Carry out daily checks in all communal spaces, ensuring there are no unauthorised persons on site. Must be confident to handle potentially difficult situations.

  • Check CCTV footage daily for any potential issues that may need reporting to the police and/or other partnering organisations
