Full Job Description

We're shuffling the pack in Communities and are looking to appoint an ace to lead and inspire as our new Communities Team Leader.

Are you hunting for a new challenge with an ambitious organisation and ready to join us on our mission to deliver 'Great Places', Great Services', and 'Great Tomorrows'.

In a nutshell, we want someone who has the people skills and vision to provide positive, effective and innovative leadership to the Communities Service.

On top of that, we need someone to manage the delivery of an effective, customer focused tenancy and estate management service which responds directly to customer demand. You'll manage an agile team who work out in our communities, encouraging customer engagement opportunities and feedback to ensure the shaping of our services, continuous development and improvement.

Our new Communities Team Leader will be:

  • An inspiring leader - you're a natural communicator, able to manage the service through engagement and by inspiring everyone in the team. You will be an advisor, coach and mentor - but will need to roll up your sleeves and take on cases to support the team where necessary.

  • An innovative thinker - you're a change agent who embraces transformative work and looks for ways to improve themselves, the team and the service. You will naturally use customer demands, insight and measures to inform your work.

  • A customer champion - you care about our customers and can juggle conflicting priorities, from managing case reviews and customer demands to monitoring safeguarding cases and supporting the Domestic Abuse Service.

  • A great collaborator - you possess brilliant people skills and are comfortable representing Futures at multi-agency meetings. You're also excellent at building internal relationships to ensure effective service delivery and effortless experiences for our customers.

  • A few key points from our role profile:
  • Be responsible for ensuring performance measures are monitored and implement a culture of service improvements as appropriate, in conjunction with customer feedback and complaints.

  • Implement policy / procedural changes and recommendations following change of legislation, regulation, transformation projects, testing new ways of working and providing adequate support to the team to ensure smooth transition.

  • Carry out regular one to one meetings with the team, providing guidance and support where necessary and assisting with the personal development of others.

  • Complete regular case management reviews to ensure customer demands are being managed effectively and monitor individual performance reporting any concerns/achievements to the Communities Manager. Support the team with advice and guidance on tenancy support, tenancy enforcement and legal action.

  • Ensure safeguarding and domestic abuse cases are referred to the Safeguarding & Domestic Abuse Coordinators promptly, to enable support to commence and encouraging collaborative and holistic case management, whilst ensuring the accurate recording, monitoring and reporting.
