Full Job Description

Oundle School is seeking a Community Action Administrator to provide administrative and organisational support to the Head of and the Assistant Head of Community Action., The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Community Action and Assistant Head of Community Action, in ensuring the Department runs smoothly, by providing a range of administrative and organisational support. Over three hundred pupils and about thirty staff are involved with Community Action, serving the local community, on a weekly basis. Additional activities at various points in the year including the holidays involve further pupils and staff. The key responsibilities of this role is to:

  • To support and administer weekly placement activities for all Fifth and Sixth form pupils who opt for Community Action
  • To support the Head of CA with allocating pupils to placements, taking account of their expressed preferences and of their suitability for particular areas of service.
  • Support with the organisation of Field Weekends in the Michaelmas and Summer terms.
  • Support various other annual events such as the Garden Party and the Community Carol Concert.
  • Liaise with voluntary and other organisations and individuals in the local and wider community where required to support the smooth running of CA activities
  • Administer communications with all interested parties (including pupils, staff, Hsms, hosts and transport providers) of School schedules and any changes which occur during the course of each term.
  • This role requires you to work 20 hrs per week, Wednesdays you are required to work 9-5pm with the remaining hours to be agreed with your line manager.

    Salary: £9,695 (£25,708 FTE) per annum
