Full Job Description
The Paediatric Service is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed full time, permanentConsultant Community Paediatrician with a Neurodisability interest to complement our existing team.. The Trust is committed to working in partnership with colleagues in the Tees valley Integrated Care Partnership and wider North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System. As such, the team will work as part of a wider network at times to strengthen care pathways and support ongoing workforce development.
We would also consider this post as a development opportunity.
The post holder will share clinical responsibility right across the Trust including University Hospital of Hartlepool. As a senior employee of the Trust the post holder will work in close co-operation with and support other clinical / medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality health care to patients.
The Paediatric service is committed to developing service delivery across the Tees Valley and wider integrated care system and service roles may actively support network developments.
The post is for 10 programmed activities but candidates considering part time opportunities will be considered., The post holder will be expected to:-
Work with a dedicated team of community and developmental paediatric Consultants to deliver holistic and multi-disciplinary care to children with developmental disorders and complex health needs in the locality.
Work alongside Specialist Community Nurses and paediatric therapists
Support services for Looked After Children by undertaking Initial Health assessments, as required.
Contribute to the assessment of acute child protection referrals for physical injuries with the wider team of Consultant Paediatricians on a rota basis (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays)
Liaise with colleagues in Primary Care, Education (including the provision of health advice for the Special Education Needs and Disability assessment process) and Social Services in the delivery of care
Contribute to service development, departmental clinical governance and annual appraisals towards revalidation with the GMC
Participate in postgraduate training within the clinical environment

£105,504 to £139,882 a year pro rata, per annum (Salary is dependent on experience)
