Full Job Description

Working with the Regional Community Engagement team, youll assist with marketing events and community engagement activities to recruit new donors while acting as a key channel of communication between your team, external stakeholders other colleagues within your directorate. By helping them make our wider strategies a success, youll also be playing your part in helping thousands of patients live better, fuller lives. Youll be supporting donor recognition ceremonies, attending promotional events, processing sensitive information and supporting the evaluation of our community engagement activities. Building strong relationships with other departments and organisations will be crucial to your success. Youll have a proactive and confident communication style, excellent organisational skills and be focused on looking for opportunities to share our key messages with our key target audience., In this role you will support the delivery of Community Engagement and Events activity. Your day to day responsibilities will include:- Attending blood donor sessions within a wide geographical region to engage with our donors and encourage them to join the NHS Stem Cell Donor Registry. Working autonomously out and about at our blood donation sessions and centres creating awareness and educating our blood donors about the NHS Stem Cell Donor Registry Occasionally attending donor recruitment events and supporting community engagement activity including performing finger blood type tests Supporting donor centre and mobile session marketing activities to support appointment fill Attending and supporting donor recognition events where donors are awarded for their long service Administrative duties such as updating the regional events toolkit with performance data Dealing with personal donor information and having sensitive conversations with potential new donors ensuring you maintain
confidentiality and understanding You will be required to undertake travel and spend time away from base to meet the requirements of the post (with prior notice)
