Full Job Description

We are currently offering an excellent opportunity for a Community Engagement Lead to join our Commercial Team. This position will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive community engagement programme throughout the area, with a focus on local residents. This is an externally focused role that requires exceptional communication skills, event attendance, speaking engagements, and a can-do attitude. The post will require extensive project management and charitable project creation. The position holder will also oversee and implement the London Gateway Freeport Community Investment Fund. About The Role How will you contribute:

  • Deliver the community engagement programme at London Gateway - including managing our presence at, and attending, local events and representation at local groups such as residents' forums.
  • Manage the London Gateway Freeport Community Investment Fund (LGF CIF) - administration of the projects and of the tenant committee structure: including preparing papers, presentations and meeting schedules.
  • Manage London Gateway (and UK P&T where applicable) charity partnerships and work closely with Southampton colleagues, lending support for events and activities as required by the role.
  • Manage London Gateway stakeholder visits and deliver on the ground support for commercial and communications team visits when required. This will include filming projects, including on the quayside and might require working unsociable hours.
  • Manage school engagement programme at London Gateway - including DP World Global Education Programme
  • Support content production for internal communications and UK social media and employee engagement activities.
  • Interface with regional & global Sustainability teams as required.
  • Responsible for inputting data to the sustainability system for DP World London Gateway, received. A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing
  • you to drive on UK roads.

  • Proven experience dealing with the public in a professional manner.
  • Experience working with charities and managing those partnerships.
  • Excellent organisational, multitasking and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to negotiate, influence and at times direct senior leaders and high-profile individuals.
  • Proficient at building and sustaining a community engagement culture.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation skills, with the confidence to present and communicate to varying stakeholders.
  • Be creative and innovative in the way you think. Ideally able to combine the analytical and creative ideas to tailor them to the organisation's needs.
