Community Engagement Manager

An exciting opportunity to join Leisure United as Community Engagement Manager has become available.

We are recruiting for 3 roles to cover the North West, Yorkshire and North East, with an initial focus on identified Hub sites within each region. You'll be working as part of a newly established development team, with the aim to maximise and broaden usage opportunities at the Hubs to include football, other sports and health & well-being activities, increasing physical activity levels and improving health and wellbeing amongst priority groups facing the greatest inequalities.

The roles will play a crucial part in helping to anchor the Hubs in the local community, by ensuring that the programme of activities and initiatives represent the local priorities and need.

You will be skilled in partnership working with the ability to build and develop relationships across a range of levels and with different sectors, to co design and develop solutions leading to the activation of the Hubs in the broadest sense. Key to this will be your exceptional knowledge and understanding of Community Engagement and place-based working, and the ingredients required to successfully tackle inequalities and affect change within a local area. You will champion and embed these approaches within the wider Leisure United team and with partners and stakeholders, sharing successes, challenges, and scalable opportunities.
