Community Equipment Assistants assist in cleaning and refurbishment of all returned equipment.

Move equipment around the warehouse from the cleaning area to main storage areas.

Assist the drivers in the deliveries and collections of equipment.

Comply with health and safety requirements when handling equipment.

Communicate effectively with the team.

Undertake general warehouse and storekeeping duties including stock takes of equipment.

The Community Equipment Service has visible and responsive leadership, setting the standards for others and role modelled throughout the division for all managers.

Community Equipment Assistants play an important role in the day to day work of the service dealing with the movement of equipment within the warehouse, decontaminating all returned equipment adhering to Trust policies and procedures, loading and unloading of equipment onto Trust vehicles adhering to manual handling training.

This post will involve delivering equipment to patients in their homes.
