Full Job Description

Community Equipment Technicians play an important role in the timely discharge of patients from secondary care and the re-enablement of patients in the community who have long-term conditions. The post holder will be required to prioritise their workload according to delivery schedules, load, transport, deliver and set up equipment. Liaise and communicate effectively with members of the multi-disciplinary team., Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Community Technician. The post holder will be responsible for the safe installation of healthcare equipment and be able to demonstrate an effective, efficient delivery, collection and equipment repair service for community equipment, for the residents of Knowsley. The post will also require service to provide both planned and emergency deliveries and collections of community equipment.To ensure all aspects of fleet vehicles are appropriately maintained, they will also be required to undertake key holder responsibilities and work as part of a 5 day shift over a 7 day rota system providing debriefs after completion of delivery/collection schedules.The post holder will be required to undertake work in an efficient, effective and economic manner, both as an individual or as part of a team, to provide continuously improving service to our service users.
