Full Job Description

We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and friendly volunteer who would like to join our charity box collection team in Fundraising. The role of the Community Fundraising Box Collector is to assist Fundraising Box Collector driver, the with the collection of charity boxes in shops, businesses and organisations in the Surrey, Kent and South London area. What will the role involve?

  • Driving or being driven to and from local businesses within the local community to collect and replace fundraising collection boxes.
  • Communicating with various retailers and local businesses on the round thanking them for their support.
  • Building new relationships and creating opportunities to place boxes in new locations.
  • Walking between retailers, bringing fundraising collection boxes back to the car.
  • Keeping a record of the location of the boxes and marking up on the round sheet any new customers

  • To become a volunteer in this role you will need to:
  • Undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Successfully participate in a Driving Assessment.
  • Complete online mandatory training.
  • Hold a valid, full UK driving license (Please note this only applies if you would like to opportunity to drive The Children's Trust van, on occasions).
