Full Job Description

At Middlesbrough, we truly live our values and incorporate them into everything we do. We are passionate about improving the lives of our residents, focused on achieving best outcomes and creative in the way we work with customers, ensuring they get the best support available.

This is an exciting time for Middlesbrough as we develop ACT (Accessing Change Together) which integrates council staff and partner organisations and provides a range of support and interventions in relation to Housing Support and Homelessness, Domestic Abuse and Substance misuse. ACT (Accessing Change Together) is integrated, which means that lots of support services are working together and using a shared case load management system.

This makes it easier for service users to get access to services they need and makes it easier for council staff and partner organisations to work together and share information to improve outcomes for service users. Working with a multi-disciplinary approach, the teams aim to react quickly to those needs, developing risk assessments and support plans to address those needs appropriately. The team also works alongside other services including Adult & Children's Social Care and Public Health, to develop consistent pathways and effective processes. We have a part time opportunity which has become available within ACT (Accessing Change Together) in the Community Interventions Team which primarily provides housing related support.

We are looking to recruit someone who has the drive to contribute to the ACT Accessing Change Together vision, has experience of working effectively with a range of services and has the skills, passion and resilience to work creatively with service users experiencing housing related issues and need ongoing support in relation to Housing and Homelessness Prevention.

Whilst in post there will be development opportunities alongside option of a blended working environment (home and office where appropriate). New staff joining Middlesbrough can expect a warm welcome from the teams, our Director and Chief Executive and full induction process.

This is a part time post working 22.50 hours a week.
