Full Job Description

Working every other weekend, you will make a difference by being the Community Meals Weekend Cook, by providing nutritious meals to vulnerable members of our community who may not be able to cook for themselves.

What will you be doing?

  • Over a weekend, you will be cooking and preparing food according to the menu, portion control, and implementing dietary requirements.

  • You will be monitoring the condition and safe use of catering equipment, reporting faults and breakdown in such equipment as necessary.

  • It will be your responsibility for locking up the premises and on occasions may involve an element of solo working

    You will have experience of working in a food preparation environment and exceptional customer service, dealing with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

  • You will have the ability to manage staff and operational activities.

  • You will be able to demonstrate high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the workplace.

    Based at the Council Offices, Badminton Road, Yate, Bristol, BS37 5AF

  • Hours: a start times of 7.00 am with a 12.00 finish, with some flexibility needed

  • Allowance: Sunday enhancement (time & half)

  • Uniform will be provided
