Full Job Description
The City and Hackney directorate has created a Band 5 Development Programme to support newly qualified nurses to build their competencies, in the community, in preparation for a B6 role.
Successful candidates will be employed at Band 5 and will be supported and mentored, over a12 month period, through both a comprehensive development framework and the ELFT nurse preceptorship programme. Nurses who have gradated through the development programme will be supported to apply for a Band 6 role through a ring-fenced interview process.
You will work in multi-disciplinary recovery based mental health services and will be a core member of the multi-disciplinary team, participating in the provision high-quality mental health care for people who present with severe and enduring mental health problem, with complex needs in the crisis pathway.
You must have experience of working with people with severe and enduring mental health problems as part of your training and/or preregistration experience and have a commitment and genuine interest in supporting service users and carers through a recovery model in the community.
A conversation with the recruiting manager would be encouraged to ask any necessary questions about the role., The crisis pathway is a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a significant emphasis on positive risk-taking. As a newly qualified individual, the aim is to support you in building the confidence to empower our services through their recovery and crisis management. This is to prevent repeated visits to the emergency department and avoid revolving door admissions to inpatient wards. Additionally, the focus is on supporting and facilitating the transition from inpatient care back to their individual lives, where they can build value and a sense of purpose.
Successful candidates will work in multi-disciplinary recovery-based community mental health services providing evidence-based care and treatment for all those who use the service. You will provide treatment within the crisis pathway that ensures the best outcomes for our people who use the services, with a focus on recovery and promoting independence.
You need to have experience working with people with severe and enduring mental health problems as part of your training and/or preregistration experience and have a commitment and genuine interest in supporting service users and carers through the Recovery model in the community.
Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
