Full Job Description

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care needs of a specific group of service users within the community setting

  • Supervise mentor and teach qualified and unqualified staff including students

  • Co-ordinate care for a specified group of service users

    This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified mental health nurse, who may be newly qualified, to gain experience working within the Tewkesbury Recovery Team


  • We are a highly motivated multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, person-centredassessment and treatment, with a strong focus on promoting independence and enhancing opportunities for social engagement. The Recovery Team works with Adults of Working Age (18 and over) with a range of serious mental health needs.The successful applicant would need some experience of working with clients with mental health problems, helping them to manage their illness and work towards their recovery, be flexible, and able to work effectively in a busy but rewarding environment. We work within an Assessment and Care management framework to specific service specifications with defined quality and performance indicators.

  • Community experience or equivalent within mental health services.

  • Be self-motivated.

  • Be organised, able to effectively manage and care coordinate an active caseload.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Have a flexible and creative approach, and relish a challenge.

  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team (will be subject to lone working).

  • Show evidence of continuous professional development.

  • Able to transport self around the locality and undertake indicated statutory and mandatory training.
