This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of our Community Teams as either a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse. We aim to continue to develop your skills and knowledge as part of our staff development and career progression. Our Support and Development Programme will provide the following:

  • Caseload Support and Management
  • Training Opportunities
  • Supervision and Reflective Practice.
  • Career Progression clinics and meetings with Head of Nursing
  • Band 6 Development Programme
  • Clinical Skills Enhancement and Growth through our Nursing Framework and Professional development within your Appraisal, As a Community Mental Health Nurse you will provide community patient led services and work with adults 18-65 years who have mental health issues, social needs and require support with their physical health needs by participating and leading within our health and well being clinics and visiting patients in the community to support their safety and recovery.
  • Our community multidisciplinary teams, comprise of nurses from Nursing Associates to Advanced Nurse Practitioners, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, employment specialists, mental health practitioners, recovery support workers and peer support workers. The teams are supported by good administrative systems and offers excellent working environments as we transform our older buildings into new with an ethos of team support and team ownership with supportive team managers and community leadership. Flexible working: As one of the few Trusts in London we are proud to offer flexible working as part of our new ways of working, and we are happy to talk flexible working at the interview stage. In this role you will be able to work Monday to Friday in the time frames from 9am to 5pm, giving you the very best of good work life balance.About us We are currently going through our exciting Community Transformation across our Boroughs providing opportunities for nursing associates to develop into new integrated community teams, develop and provide a range of physical and therapeutic interventions, offer nursing based skills and care and be part of our drive to enhance and enable people with mental health concerns to live successfully in the community. We have opportunities in a range of teams in: Community Primary Care, Assessment, Integrated Care, Recovery & Support, Early Intervention and Personality Disorder Teams We can also provide the opportunity for you to rotate and join teams to expand your knowledge and skills during your career progression.
