Full Job Description

To be responsible for the day to day operational management of the Community Mental Health Team, reporting to the Service Manager. To ensure that patients, carers and other stakeholders can navigate through the care pathways with ease and their needs are met within recovery focused evidence-based provision. To promote and deliver safe and effective standards of care The post holder will line manage a portfolio of staff, offering regular clinical and management supervision. They will liaise directly with GPs and other services to ensure that the services respond effectively to clinical issues. The post holder will offer an expert opinion to staff on clinical matters such as risk, and appropriateness for treatment. They will work with the Service Manager to ensure that the services meet their targets in line with the Service Specifications. The post holder will foster good working relations and a smooth pathway of care for patients. The post holder will ensure team activity supports efficient use of resources in line with an allocated budget and will ensure team activity is in line with required performance parameters and quality standards. The post holder will support Business Planning within the Care Group in line with their sphere of expertise and responsibilities.
