Full Job Description
The post holder will work be responsible for leading and supporting the community midwifery team in providing high level, safe and compassionate antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care in the community setting. You will utilise your excellent clinical skills and knowledge to drive maternity transformation and to enable the service to meet the needs of the local population.
We are looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic midwife who has a wide range of midwifery experience and a passion for community midwifery care to join our team., TheSuccessfulcandidate will need to be self-motivated and have experience with leadership and effective communication working alongside a wide multi-disciplinary team including partners within the primary and secondary care setting
As a leader you will be crucial to planning and development within your team and ensuring that patient and staff experience is incorporated into all service improvements.
You will lead on the development of standards and clinical guidelines to improve patient care and ensure practice is up-to date and evidence based
Approximately 5,400 women each year choose to birth at Mid-Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. We provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care across the Wakefield district and North Kirklees.
At Mid Yorkshire hospitals we are continuing to implement the National maternity Transformation Programme alongside our colleagues in the local maternity System (LMS) the Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) and other community partners.
The NHS plan also focuses on care quality and outcomes improvement which forms the drive for our local maternity service improvement strategy.
