Full Job Description
- Support the work of the 0-19 Public Health Team with planned programmes of public health care and health promotion in accordance with The Healthy Child Programme (DH 2009).
- Undertake activities as delegated by the Health Visitor, in support of the delivery of the 0-19 service.
- Support the delivery of a 'child focused service' which promotes good partnership working with parents, nurseries, children's centres and other agencies.
- To participate in service development and health improvement activities.
- To advise parents/carers on positive parenting skills including understanding and managing child behaviour, introduction to solids and nutrition, play and stimulation, speech and language development, sleep management and toilet training, ensuring that advice is evidence based to facilitate school readiness.
- To act as the link 0-19 professional for identified PVIs in line with local service specification . Work in a collaborative manner with Children's Centres, nurseries, parents, members of the Primary Health Care Team and other agencies.
- Identifying where there is a cause for concern and taking appropriate action in accordance with safeguarding guidelines, including informing a senior member of staff of any concerns.

We are searching for community nursery nurses who have experience of working within early years settings or the health service and are skilled in communicating with professionals and clients from a wide variety of backgrounds. The team are seeking dynamic individuals with a strong public health focus who are fully committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our diverse population.
