Full Job Description

Community Nursery Nurse, Part time hours for our Mid Sussex South Healthy Child Programme Team based in Burgess Hill, You will be supporting the team in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) to children aged 0-5 years and their families in the Mid Sussex South area. Working alongside health visitors and registered nurses you will promote children's physical and emotional health and wellbeing, identify health, social or developmental concerns at the earliest opportunity and contribute to the aim for all children to have the best possible start in life.

We are looking for enthusiastic early years practitioners, preferably with experience of working with children and families experiencing a wide range of health and developmental needs. Experience in child development, parenting advice and breastfeeding is desirable, as is an understanding of safeguarding and working with vulnerable families.

We are looking for a flexible, motivated and enthusiastic individual who can communicate effectively, and is able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Please note that there is considerable driving required for this post and you will need access to a car for work.

N.B. a qualification is required for this post: NNEB, NVQ L3 in Early Years and Education/Childcare, CACHE diploma, BTEC national diploma in Early Years/Childcare
