Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated occupational therapist to be part of our Adults Autism Intensive Support Team for Coventry and Warwickshire.
If you are driven, passionate and to want to work with Autistic individuals who are in mental health crisis and are at risk of admission to hospital, then we want to hear from you.
The team is a specialist, multi-disciplinary team currently consisting of Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, and Nursing.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust provides a full range of expanding physical, mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults over many sites across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Services are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire, and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services. We see on average around 5,000 patients every day.
The team works across Coventry and the whole of Warwickshire (north and south) to provide additional therapeutic support for individuals and their families/carers of individuals who are most at risk of an admission to a mental health hospital.
We sit within the Learning Disability and Autism Directorate and as such we are part of a large multi-professional group which offers the opportunity for knowledge and skill sharing. There will be opportunities for Continual Professional Development, regular clinical supervision and participation in Reflective Practice Groups.
The team describe the work they do as no 2 days are the same and very rewarding when they are able to be part of the MDT in keeping a young person out of hospital, The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of individuals and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. · Assessment skills and working holistically with young people and their families
· Multi-agency working and the ability to work alongside the MDT in carrying out interventions and therapy
· A working knowledge of Autism and the ability to support the development of individual Autism profiles
· A working knowledge of the Model of Human Occupation, its application and related assessments is essential, as is the ability to work alongside the MDT in carrying out therapeutic interventions.
· Knowledge and experience of applying a sensory integration frame of reference is also desirable to this role.
