Full Job Description
Role: Community Paediatric Care Assistant, We are seeking dedicated and skilled Community Paediatric Care Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to children and young people, addressing their complex clinical needs while offering practical support to their families. What You'll Do Your role will involve delivering both clinical and social care tailored to the unique needs of each child. Your responsibilities will include:
- Personal Care and Support: Assisting with daily tasks to ensure the comfort and well-being of the child
- Challenging Behaviour Support: Managing and responding to challenging behaviours with sensitivity and expertise
- Community Access: Supporting the child in accessing and participating in community activities, fostering social interaction and independence
- Promoting Independence: Encouraging and empowering the child to achieve greater autonomy in their daily life
- Medication Support: Ensuring the safe administration of medication
- Specialist Clinical Care: Providing advanced clinical care, including but not limited to invasive/non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy care, enteral feeding, nebuliser treatment, and seizure management With the support of our dedicated regional teams and cutting-edge technology, you will have the tools and training you need to make a significant difference in your clients' lives every day.
- At least 6 months of professional care experience or experience caring for a loved one in the UK
- The right to work in the UK
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with children and young people (preferred, but not essential as full training is provided)
- A valid driver's licence and reliable access to a personal vehicle

Pay: from £13.70 to £19.89 depending on shift and role
