In this role, you will provide essential support to disabled children and young people aged 6-19 years during the weekends and across Summer, Easter and Christmas school holidays. What You'll Do Your role will involve delivering both clinical and social care tailored to the unique needs of each child. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Personal Care and Support: Assisting with daily tasks to ensure the comfort and well-being of the child
  • Promoting Independence: Supporting with planning of sessions and activities that promote independence, autonomy and social skills
  • Medication Support: Ensuring the safe administration of medication
  • Challenging Behaviour Support: Managing and responding to challenging behaviours with sensitivity and expertise
  • With the support of our dedicated regional teams and cutting-edge technology, you will have the tools and training you need to make a significant difference in your clients' lives every day.

    To excel as a Community Paediatric Care Assistant, you should have:
  • At least 6 months of professional care experience or experience caring for a loved one in the UK
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children and young people (preferred, but not essential as full training is provided)
  • Experience and knowledge of children at play, child development and child protection principles
  • Ability to relate sensitively to a wide range of children and families
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable access to a personal vehicle
