Full Job Description

The post holder will be required to perform a range of venepuncture techniques in the community setting and will work without direct supervision. This will require the post holder to undertake venepuncture on adult patients ensuring all relevant policy, protocols, Phlebotomy, and other relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are followed. The post holder will be a role model for phlebotomy and will provide support for newly appointed community nursing and health care assistants with phlebotomy skills., The Procare Chief Executive is a Community Nurse, our medical director is local GPs and our Nurse Director has considerable community experience in governance and quality. Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification to understand more about the opportunity this role presents you., We are seeking a Community Phlebotomist to support an efficient, effective, and quality adult community nursing service in Guildford and Waverley. You will work as a member of the Community Nursing Team and be responsible for performing venepuncture on adult patient's based in the community setting. The post is part time working between Monday to Sunday between 8 am and 8 pm.

The post holder will be required to work alongside a registered nurse in the community setting, delivering nursing care to people in their own homes. This post holder will perform a range of venepuncture techniques in the community setting and will work without direct supervision under the direction of the District Nurse. This will require the post holder to undertake venepuncture on adult patients ensuring all relevant policy, protocols, Phlebotomy, and other relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are followed.
The post holder will be a role model for phlebotomy and will provide support for newly appointed community nursing and health care assistants with phlebotomy skills.
You will be a good communicator, calm and have a professional manner. You will be able to work methodically and independently whilst being a good team player. The post holder will need to be able to use technology to record patient visits and be able to travel to patients' homes across Guildford and Waverley. You will need to be willing to undertake the health care assistant certificate as required.
