Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Phlebotomist, to work with the Integrated Community Teams in the Amber Valley locality.

The post base will be at Ripley Hospital but will cover areas across Amber Valley which includes Belper, Ripley, Heanor and Alfreton.

The post involves working over 5 days with an 8am start.

This post does not require to work any weekends or bank holidays.

Ability to travel between any site where DCHS services are provided is essential for this post., Our team focusses on providing excellent patient-centred phlebotomy care to people within their own homes. Therefore, it is essential that you have a keen interest and experience in this field. We also provide some phlebotomy clinics within GP bases, the successful candidate will work within both settings.

We are looking for someone with excellent phlebotomy skills who also has the ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own and be flexible.

If you can demonstrate good communication skills, have the ability to plan and organise competent, evidence-based, clinical care delivery - we want to hear from you!

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and predominently for this role in people's own homes.

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.
