Full Job Description
We will be looking for someone with a passion for working with older people. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide specialist assessment, treatment and care to a caseload of people with a range of mental health needs. You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible and resourceful and be able to forge close links with clients and carers. We also work closely with partner healthcare organisations and the voluntary sector.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a service which prides itself on its commitment and provision of high-quality care. This will be a challenging and very busy role, but one which will be very rewarding.
The service operates Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.
We are recruiting a band 6 mental health nurse for the Specialist Older Adults' Mental Health Service (SOAMHS), based at Horsham Mental Health Team, New Park House in Horsham. The Specialist Older Adults Mental Health Service is integrated between health and social care, and workswith older people with both functional and complex organic conditions who need secondary service support. Experience of working with this client group in a community setting is advantageous but not essential, as we would offer a robust induction and supervision package for the right candidate., The ability to travel is essential for this role and must be willing to travel across Horsham and Crawley and surrounding areas as required.
The Trust provides mental health and learning disability care for all ages across Sussex.
