Full Job Description

Are you a caring individual looking to thrive in a decision-making role. Our Blandford Integrated Community Rehabilitation Team based at the Blandford Community Hospital would love for you to join our team.

The ICRT is a multi-disciplinary team offering therapy and intermediate care to a wide range of people within their home environments to prevent avoidable hospital admissions and facilitate earlier hospital discharge. The role also provides support to our ward therapy team working with patients on our in-patient ward. It is desirable that you have experience of rehabilitation or a caring role, preferably in ward or community settings, have good verbal, written and team working skills. You will need to be flexible in your approach and confident to work alone. Being a driver is essential for this role.

In return for your enthusiasm and commitment, we can provide an opportunity for you to develop your clinical skills and experience in a supportive team, with regular supervision and appraisals. You will be given opportunities to support and to develop your skills clinically and professionally this could lead to exploring our offers such as the Apprenticeship Pathways.

The Community Rehabilitation Assistant post is a full-time role where we cover a 7-day service working on a rota basis including covering one weekend a month at enhanced pay. We would be flexible and accept part time applications with a minimum of 30 hours.

To contribute to the teams role in providing clinical rehabilitation and intermediate care to community patients under the direction of qualified practitioners.

To assist in the provision of administrative support to the department / team.

Hours of work are between 08.00 and 20.00 in shift pattern to cover 7 days a week. You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
