Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Professionals to join our team as the Safeguarding Adults Community Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing recovery models and coordinating operational plans to oversee Safeguarding within the community for adults. There will be a focus on safeguarding, multiagency working and Mental Capacity and mental health.

You will collaborate with external partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and optimal patient experiences.

The core purpose of this role is to ensure the Trust meets its organisational, national, and local responsibilities in Safeguarding Adults, the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), and Mental Health. This includes adherence to the CQC's Safeguarding Standards under the Safe domain. The role requires providing specialist knowledge in safeguarding, MCA, DoLS, and Mental Health, offering consultancy and support to staff across the Trust based on evidence-based practices. The postholder will play a critical role in ensuring safeguarding is prioritised and a culture of dignity and protection is embedded across the organisation, following the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal., You will be responsible for implementing working recovery models and coordinating the operational plans for the service to ensure that people are able to manage their mental health, move through their recovery journeys and achieve positive outcomes. The post holder will complement the work of the Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust liaison team. The post holder will also assist with the development of strategies and plans to advance the care of patients with mental health needs, collaborating with external partners to deliver optimal experiences and outcomes.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the Trust meets its organisational, national, and local responsibilities in Safeguarding Adults, the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), and Mental Health. This includes compliance with Safeguarding Standards under the CQC's Safe domain. The role involves providing expert knowledge on adult safeguarding, MCA, DoLS, and Mental Health, offering consultancy to staff across divisions using evidence-based practices. The postholder will provide assurance in safeguarding, collaborating closely with other designated professionals.

North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system - consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS's, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.
