Full Job Description

The Community Paediatric service identify, assess, diagnose and manage the health needs of children and young people aged 0-18 years. The Neurodevelopmental Nurses form a valuable part of this team working in partnership with their Community Paediatric colleagues.
The post holder with be supporting in the assessment of neurodevelopmental conditions, predominately Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and also in the ongoing management of ADHD and medication management of children with neurodevelopmental disorders..
The focus of the work will be working autonomously within a range of outpatient settings offering evidence-based advice and treatment, collaboratively with young people and their families., Work in line with the assessment and management pathways for children and young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties.

Demonstrate leadership skills, identifying, auditing and developing the service according to need.
Demonstrate a high level of clinical judgement, including being an independent prescriber, working within NICE guidelines
Have a commitment to an integrated approach with the child and family at the centre.
Ability to work independently, managing own caseload, whilst being accountable to the Community Paediatric team
Ability to teach, train and supervise other professionals or students
Work in close collaboration with other services and families
