Full Job Description

Are you a nurse who is experienced in working with children and families? Would you like a rewarding role the community working with children and young people.
This role involves working with the Community Paediatric Team and participating in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental conditions. As a member of the team you will be part of the development and planning process and you will receive support and supervision from the clinically expert and well-established neurodevelopmental nurses and community paediatricians across BNSSG. We will also ensure you have access to expert clinical support and training when required.

Interviews will likely take place on 4th December 2024., The post holder will be supporting in the assessment of neurodevelopmental conditions, predominately Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and also in the ongoing management of ADHD.
This includes monitoring medication management of children with neurodevelopmental disorders, including sleep difficulties.
The focus of the work will be working autonomously offering evidence-based advice and treatment, collaboratively with young people and their families. This will also involve liaising with other professionals.
There will be opportunity to provide education to parent groups and teaching staff regarding neurodevelopmental disorders where appropriate. Also contributing to parent support webinars and resources.
It will be important to prioritise workload to ensure most effective use of time, whilst being very flexible and adapting quickly to change.
There will be an expectation to contribute to the ongoing review and further development of existing care pathways, policies, and audit of service outcomes.
