Children Family Health Surrey is looking for nurses from a variety of backgrounds and experience to join our organisation to help us work with children, young people and their families to deliver the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme.
You will be supported by our clinical specialists/team leaders, service managers and safeguarding service to provide excellent practice and develop your skills and knowledge to offer a public health service to the 0-19 age range.
We have an excellent preceptorship model to support newly qualified nurses. We are committed to professional development, and encourage successful candidates to consider a future place on the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Course (SCPHN). If your application is successful you will be given the opportunity to learn skills, and develop qualities to enable you to be fully prepared for the application process leading to the SCHPN course.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a member of the 0-19 public health team delivering the Healthy Child Programme to children, young people and their families.
Supported by the SCPHN, the post holder will participate in delivering a universal core service, and provide targeted interventions, to address health inequalities, and where necessary referring to specialist services.
This role will also include safeguarding responsibilities, delivery of health promotion such as antenatal sessions, mentorship of students and staff appraisals.
