Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Central neighbourhood integrated community team based at Whitegate HC., As a community nurse you will gain a unique set of skills. As a team we will support you to gain these skills by providing appropriate extra training. We will also provide the following to ensure your transition to a new area / team is as smooth as possible by:
- Robust induction period
- Buddy/Mentor
- Preceptorship programme
- Protected supernumerary time
- Clinical 1 to 1 and supervision sessions with Clinical Lead
- In House and external training provision. The main duties of the role are to provide holistic, patient centred, evidence based care to individuals in their own home setting. This will include:
- Administration of medications
- Care of the elderly
- Palliative care and assessment of needs
- Syringe driver management
- Central line care
- PEG care
- Wound care
- Drain management
- Venous & arterial leg ulcer care
- Catheter & nephrostomy care
- Holistic assessments and risk bundles
- Observations
- Venepuncture
