We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic & motivated Registered Nurses to join our innovative Neighbourhood Nursing Service throughout the Barnsley area.

The service is responsible for delivering a wide range nursing care to housebound patients, which includes wound management, chronic disease management, promotion of self-care, terminal/palliative care & the administration of IV anti-biotics for admission avoidance.

Successful candidates will maintain high quality effective nursing care in the community as part of the wider integrated care team., As a Neighbourhood Staff Nurse you will support the District Nurse in carrying out nursing care for patients primarily within their home but you will also participate in clinic sessions.

Enthusiasm and the ability to use your own initiative are essential, along with good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.

You will need the ability to work both as part of a team and as a lone worker, along with the use of a vehicle to undertake any necessary travel in connection with the duties of the post.

You will be allocated to a specific Neighbourhood; however, it should be noted that you are employed to work across the service and may be required to move bases if/when required.

You will be required to work flexibly as the service operates 8am 8pm.
