Full Job Description

As a Support Worker you will be instrumental in delivering recovery focused interventions (for example emotional and practical support) to service users under the guidance and support of qualified mental health clinicians and team leaders. You will need to be a dedicated, patient focused and highly motivated individual, who has some experience of mental health support work, working effectively as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team.

The Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT) in Witney are advertising for a Community Support Time and Recovery (STR) Worker to contribute to caring for and supporting adults with severe mental illness within the Witney and surrounding areas.

The North & West Oxon AMHT serves a diverse and multicultural population and support adults of working age (18-65) who are experiencing severe and enduring mental illnesses requiring specialist care and treatment.

The Witney team covers the geographical area of Witney, Carterton, Eynsham, Chipping Norton and surrounding villages and the team is part of the wider AMHT patch which includes the Banbury AMHT. Both teams align with clusters of locality GP practises.

We work in collaboration with partnership agencies such as Mind, Restore, Elmore and Response and this role gives an opportunity to visit patients in their own home, in the community or their supported living accommodation.

You will join a dedicated staff group providing assessment and evidence based interventions to a wide range of people in the west of the county and the surrounding areas., Oxford Health is a great place to work and to be able to showcase the best of yourself when making an application you are encouraged to read the "candidate guide to making an application" which is attached to all roles.
