Full Job Description

The post holder will work within the CAMHS Further Intervention Nursing Team, assisting the qualified staff in carrying out comprehensive assessments of need and risk.

The post holder will work autonomously in a clinic environment, and also in the community across Swansea and NPT, with young people and their families/carers that are experiencing a variety of mental health needs such as anxiety, mood disorders and eating disorders. This work will be undertaken whilst adhering to treatment packages developed by qualified nurses and the multi disciplinary team in adherence of agreed protocols.

The post holder will be responsible for effective communication of any changes noted of the clients, keeping the team updated regularly, and also keeping accurate and contemporaneous records., To carry out specific delegated clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Practitioner/Assistant Practitioner.

This role will include autonomous and lone working in a community setting.

To work directly with young people, families/carers and alongside other key professionals in supporting service users to improve and maintain their emotional health and wellbeing.

Recognise issues relating to safeguarding and report any problems or raise concerns to the appropriate Registered Practitioner in a timely manner.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
