Full Job Description

A full UK Driving License or an International Driving License and your own car are essential. You must be able to work a minimum of 25 hours per week. About the role: As a Community Support Care Worker, you will be required to support and deliver our sessional care services to children who have additional support needs due to learning, and / or physical disabilities, or poor mental health. We ensure they have access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. Together we can make a difference! You will be required to:

  • Promote social development by supporting the individual to attend activities, such as bowling, swimming and going to the cinema
  • Build and develop independent living skills such as cooking, shopping and encouraging them to pay for their items.
  • Encourage independence and empower the child to reach their full potential.
  • Promote well-being by embracing wellness and supporting with a health balanced diet.
  • Provide companionship by embracing togetherness; together we thrive!

We are a registered member of the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).

    As a Care Assistant with ND Care & Support, your hard work and commitment will be rewarded in a number of ways:
  • We will cover the cost of your Enhanced DBS check, Social Care Wales registration fee and a Blue Light Card - saving you over £70! (We will reimburse you for the Blue Light Card and SCW registration fee on proof of purchase and once you have worked for us for more than four weeks).
  • Paid travel and waiting time and full time hours and set shifts.
  • 5-day in depth Induction and training programme (paid at national minimum wage once you have worked for us for a minimum of 50 hours).
  • £13.45ph weekdays and £14.01ph on weekends (please note, these pay rates include your rolled-up holiday pay)., Regular work
