Our primary school in Croydon is looking for a compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the team. You will be working with students in Early Years and Key Stage 1, supporting them in their academic development and fostering their social and emotional growth. The role is ideal for someone looking to work in an inclusive, dynamic environment where every child is given the opportunity to thrive. Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to students in a classroom setting, assisting with individual learning tasks, and helping with the social and emotional development of children. You will support students with their literacy and numeracy skills and contribute to a positive, engaging learning environment.,

  • Support students in individual or small group activities, helping them complete tasks and understand learning objectives.
  • Assist with phonics and early literacy programs, helping students build foundational skills.
  • Encourage positive behavior and assist in managing classroom routines.
  • Help students with social interactions, promoting inclusion and teamwork.
  • Monitor students' progress and work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support.
  • Assist with classroom organization, setting up resources, and preparing learning materials.

    Experience supporting students in a primary school setting, ideally in Early Years or Key Stage 1.
