Full Job Description

Based at our St. Austell campus, we are seeking an experienced Complaints Officer who will be responsible for the Cornwall College Group's complaints policy, processes, procedures and their implementation.

The postholder will support investigations, recommend action, and respond to complaints, ensuring the highest possible standard of service is provided to customers. Where appropriate the postholder will carry out complex investigations on behalf of the College.

The Complaints Officer will develop good working relationships with complainants, providing them with clear support and guidance as needed, and facilitate handling of their complaint to ensure that questions and concerns are adequately addressed.

Applicants should have experience of working in a large and complex organisation and well as being experienced in managing effective negotiation, influencing and communication skills which give the ability to deal confidently and diplomatically with a range of people at all levels both internally and externally. Experience of working in a similar type of post such as a helpline with the general public or internal staff where people skills, procedural knowledge and problem-solving skills were required is also essential.

This is a part-time role, working 22.5 hours per week. Hybrid working options are available.
