Do you have a passion for working with people who have experienced complex trauma and a desire to change people's lives for the better? This role will be a split role working within our newly established Ascend service (Sexual Abuse and Assault Pathway) and our Complex Trauma pathway in East Staffordshire. The Ascend service is provided by Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, North Staffordshire Combined NHS Trust, VCSE (Survive and Woman's Aid) and Staffordshire Police Crime Commissioner. The Complex Trauma pathway is run by MPFT across the South Staffordshire area for adults aged 16+ who have experienced repeated traumatic events We are an award-winning team and have recently been ranked by HSJ awards as top in the Midlands for Mental Health, Learning and Development and Community Trusts as Best Place to work recommended by employees.   • Make decisions on the suitability of new referrals, identifying the most suitable service for the patient
  • Formulate, implement and evaluate individual therapy programmes for patients that fall between Primary and Secondary services
  • Attend Inter service meetings with regard to referrals
  • Liaise with other health and social care staff from a range of agencies with a regard to referrals
  • Promote and maintain links with services across the Trust to help co-ordinate provision of an effective Psychological Therapies Service
  • Provide specialist advice to other professionals from the Trust and voluntary agencies in regard to our therapeutic service provision
  • Contribute to the teaching and training of mental health professionals and other staff working in the service
