Are you passionate about ensuring organizations operate ethically, follow regulations and maintain best practices? We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Advisor to join our team. This is maternity cover on a 9/12 month fixed term contract. Our Compliance Advisors otherwise known as KYC (Know Your Customer) Specialists are responsible for working with our clients (Partner Estate Agents, Sellers, and Buyer). Your role is to ensure that identification and due diligence checks are complete on all Sellers and Buyers to mitigate risk and comply with the anti-money laundering function of our business before a property is listed for sale or purchase authorised. What will you be doing as a Compliance Advisor?

  • You will engage and support our clients through the compliance process mainly by phone or email, ensuring that Identification checks are completed within our SLAs
  • You will deal effectively with risk profile outcomes, ensuring a prompt review and resolution to any concerns.
  • You will ensure HMRC guidelines and iamsold Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
  • You will sign off files ready for Pre-Action Marketing or Sale Authorisation within required SLA.
  • You will report any suspicious activity or High-Risk files to the Reporting Circle, maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • You willl provide support to the Business Support and Administration teams as needed.
  • You will report promptly to the Compliance Team Leader any failings in the Compliance processes or procedures

    Proven experience in a Compliance, legal or risk advisory role
  • Have experience with objection handling and resolving complex issues, making considered decisions based on risk.
  • Effective communication skills both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrate excellent levels of customer service.
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines and manage your own workload effectively to achieve KPI's
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (GDPR, AML etc) would be desirable.
