Full Job Description

Control Risks is seeking a Compliance Co-ordinator to support the operation of our internal compliance programme. This role will be responsible for the timely, efficient delivery of the administrative elements of our compliance programme, in addition to assisting the Senior Manager - Group Compliance on various compliance projects. You must uphold high ethical standards and be a champion of our compliance and risk management culture throughout the company. This role will join the Legal, Risk and Compliance Team and report directly to the Senior Manager - Group Compliance. As a member of the Legal, Risk and Compliance Team, you will support the operation of the group compliance function. This function plans and directs the compliance strategy for all companies in the Control Risks group. We are looking for a highly motivated team player with excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. What You'll Do:

  • Support the management of our portfolio of global policies:
  • Maintain the master record to accurately track the review and release status of each policy. Ensure the repository of live and archived policies is up to date.
  • Liaise with policy owners to initiate their review of a policy and monitor the timely receipt of revised policies in preparation for Policy Committee meetings. Involves communication with senior management.
  • Prepare meeting agenda and minutes, format policy documents and send calendar invitations for the Policy Committee meetings.
  • Support the implementation of the programme of mandatory training:
  • Generate training completion reports and accurately record the completion status of training recipients.
  • Co-ordinate the assistance needed from Internal Communications and HR teams.
  • Respond to enquiries from colleagues.
  • Co-ordinate the collection of compliance-related data and prepare reports:
  • Manage large spreadsheet datasets with data from different sources.
  • Liaise with regional teams to gather data (e.g. health and safety incident registers) and monitor its timely receipt.
  • Perform analysis and provide reports on trends or inconsistencies identified within the data.
  • Learn about the policy or procedure related to that data. Escalate any questions or concerns about the data received to the Senior Manager - Group Compliance.
  • Support the Senior Manager - Group Compliance on a variety of compliance projects:

    Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage a varied workload.
  • Excellent numeracy and data analysis skills. Confident and skilled in handling large spreadsheet datasets.
  • Methodical and diligent with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear written guidance.
  • Ability to work independently, whilst also being someone who knows when to escalate and who collaborates well with other members of the team to share information and provide support.
  • High level of capability in all Microsoft Office packages: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and, Outlook.
  • Quick learner who is comfortable with learning about a wide range of topics and new software/digital tools.
  • Takes pride in and ownership of your activities.
  • Experience of working in a compliance, legal, risk management or corporate governance team.
