Composites Engineering Intern

We are recruiting for interns to join our fantastic Engineering team at the McLaren Composites Technology Centre based in Sheffield. The successful candidate will support the engineering and business systems team to plan, implement and control changes to design, manufacturing, project and facility workstreams. Please note this position is on-site 5 days a week at the McLaren Composites Technology Centre, to best facilitate your learning and development during the scheme. The closing date for applications is Friday, 15th November 2024. Virtual first stage interviews will take place in early January 2025, with the second stage of the process being on-site assessment centres in late January/early February. What You'll Do As a Composites Engineering Intern, you will be gaining valuable experience within our composites team on a one-year programme. This will include working in these key areas:

• Identifying, planning, undertaking and supporting development activities to improve composite manufacturing processes
• Optimise process and material flow, identify and mitigate bottlenecks through technical innovation
• Support production activities, including process or technical fault finding, and respond to product quality concerns with containment and countermeasure actions
• Record, process, analyse and interpret complex process data to improve process knowledge, drive technical development, and resolve problems in a robust manner
