Full Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Computer Hardware Engineer Journeyman to join our team located at RAF Molesworth, UK supporting the Mission Partner Capability Office (MPCO) and the United States Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems (US BICES) services and capabilities for a global user base. The position provides O&S support for Service Center East data center infrastructure O&S support, including: Managing rack locations, servers, network, storage, blades, and network connections; providing oversight of all IT equipment installations, relocations, and removals/decommissioning; monitoring and responding to data center alarms on IT equipment and coordinating with data center infrastructure vendor as required to resolve alarm issues; where applicable, providing management (utilization, capacity management and monitoring) of physical infrastructure and utilities resources to support data center operations to include primary power, UPS and backup generator (coordination with base Civil Engineering); external and internal cooling equipment (chillers and inrow fancoil units); and fire detection/suppression (ionization smoke detection and sprinkler). The position may conduct research, design, development, and testing of information processing hardware, develop technical specifications for production, analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions, and test hardware conformance to specifications.
- Minimum/General Experience: Minimum of 4 years (4) years hardware engineering experience in support of enterprise IT networks.
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree or 8 years commensurate experience with High School diploma.
- Clearance: DoD Secret clearance required. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Prefer (not required) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering, or a degree in any related Engineering field.
- Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certificate
- ITIL Foundation V4
Full-Time Salary Range: $83900 - $142600 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
