Are you a risk expert who's well versed in FCA Customer Outcomes guidance and Consumer Duty within the general insurance sector? We're seeking a self-starter to come join AXA Retail as a Conduct Assurance Manager. Reporting to our Head of Insight & Assurance, you'll be accountable for the design and delivery of the Conduct Assurance testing plan, covering both Direct and Intermediary, as well as tracking & acting on Feedback Loops. You'll also play a key role in driving a customer-centric risk culture throughout AXA UK Retail, deepening the capability of the Retail business to recognise and manage risks. Managing a team of Assurance Analysts, your key focus will be on professional development and fostering high standards of professionalism and expertise throughout the team. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you'll be doing:
- Develop and deliver a robust suite of outcome testing across the product lifecycle, identifying opportunities with the team to sensibly de-risk the business whilst delivering risk management.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify proactive and reactive outcomes testing, deliver recommendations on the management of key risks and ensure subsequent actions are agreed and delivered on time.
- Ensure assurance oversight focuses on adherence to FCA principles and regulation across end-to-end product lifecycle, deliver the required DA Audits each year (and recommended actions alongside Intermediary team.
- Maintain a forward-looking mindset to identify future threats to the business and the impact on the effectiveness of current mitigants and controls.
- Drive clear understanding of the relevance of customer outcomes to the key Retail risks and work with the business areas to embed robust Feedback Loops that demonstrate outcomes are considered in change decisions.
- Work closely with Group Internal Audit or Compliance Monitoring and impacted business teams to enable completion of scheduled reviews, whilst formulating, alongside senior management, action plans to address any findings.
- Regular review of Conduct MI to identify any areas for deep dives as well as delivery of Conduct MI for the Executive Customer Board.

- Demonstrable knowledge of FCA Customer Outcomes guidance for the GI sector, with strong examples of involvement in their practical application.
- Knowledge of Consumer Duty, broker/ intermediary experience is not essential.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to process, collate, and present large volumes of data in a clear and consistent manner.
- Ability to influence a wider population to advocate a strong customer focused culture
- Commercial and pragmatic outlook, able to work at pace and delivery focussed.
- People management experience, including coaching of others to support development. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
