Conference & Events Supervisor

Conference & Events Supervisor - we'll hedge a guess that you're able to spin 100 plates at once, not literally - of course, but you're someone who thrives under pressure and is passionate about ensuring every event runs smoothly. As clichéd as it sounds, you'll constantly want to change things up a bit, finding innovative and bespoke ways to put a smile on your customer's face. You'll be an expert at managing both the CEO of a business who needs a flawless, professional conference and an over-bearing father of the bride who needs to be consistently updated to ensure his daughter's day is as perfect as she is. These are little details that make you outstanding and mean you create memorable experiences for your customers. What will I be responsible for as a Conference & Events Supervisor? As a Conference & Banqueting Supervisor at voco Leicester, you'll be busy gaining experience in the following:

• Hands on supervisory skills to help provide an outstanding event management service for our extensive conference and events facilities
• Supervising the C&E team for set-up and prep and being part of the team to deliver outstanding and bespoke service to every event, our large ones and the small
• Getting to know our customers and using your relationships to offer suggestions to enhance their experiences, making them unforgettable
• Working closely with the Conference & Events Manager and Assistant Manager who will encourage you to love change and find your own unique ways to further enhance your guest experience
• Oh, and you'll also be required to be a magician. Or at least be capable of juggling each event, customer and guest whilst not missing any details.
Is this Conference & Events Supervisor role right for me?
• You'll already be an established professional in in Conference & Events or have a supervisory Food & Beverage background and be ready to join the team as a Conference & Events Supervisor
• This is an established, very busy conference, event and wedding hotel, with 13 event rooms and you will need to think on your feet to deliver and resolve challenges, meet organisers demands quickly
• You'll love to see an event be successful whether for 2 or 800 guests
• You're seeking your next challenge within a forward-thinking, change-loving company
• Experience of delivering training and pre-briefings to team members beneficial
• To be successful in this role you will be engaging, a relationship builder and influencer
• Supporting the entire Food & Beverage operation including covering the restaurant and bar areas when required.
