Full Job Description

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, we are looking for someone who is keen to get their sleeves rolled up and take the lead in setting the scene, ensuring our guests have a fantastic experience regardless of whether they are attending a corporate meeting, A Christmas Party or a Wedding!

The Conference Porter role involves a range of duties, including;

  • Ensuring conference and events rooms are set up to a high standard and accoding to the guest requirements before they arrive - This does require a high level of manual handling including moving tables, chairs and heavy equipment throughout our conference and event spaces.

  • Servicing the rooms during the event and being ready to help make sure the event runs smoothly on the day

  • Clear down and cleaning of the meeting rooms once the guests have departed

  • Assist in banqueting set ups and turn rounds

  • Store and maintain conference equipment

  • Ensure all meeting rooms are maintained on a daily basis and set to standard, even when not in use

  • Be able to respond to the changing needs of the guest in a timely manner.

  • Carry out additional duties in support of the wider Food & Beverage Team including supporting with Room Service and Bar when required.

  • Previous experience in a similar manual style role including; lifting heavy equipment and moving tables and chairs would be an advantage.

  • Good Time Management and able to achieve tight deadlines whilst not compromising on quality

  • Good attention to detail

  • To be willing to learn new things and work as part of a wide hotel team
