Full Job Description
The duties of the Configuration Engineer (L3) include :
- Create and issue work packages for Landing Gear assembly
- Reading and understanding aircraft publications
- Provide technical support to the production departments
- Working with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services (LTLGS) SAP system
- Use LTLGS' SAP system to define material requirements based on the ongoing configuration
- Aid in continuous improvements to ensure the department is efficient
- Ensure all work in LTLGS is in accordance with Airworthiness Directives
- Producing Missing and Damage reports for the customers and creating condition reports based on received condition
- Where necessary, communicate with OEM's for clarification of any technical queries
- Use knowledge of aircraft configuration and LTLGS specific configuration control processes to assist in the development and set up of new capabilities
- You may be required to train personnel within a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience
- All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures
Degree Qualified (BEng 2 : 1), Aeronautical / Aerospace / Mechanical or Engineering. HND will be considered - An additional language (German / French) would be useful, but not critical
- Ideally the candidate shall have extensive (5+years) experience within the Aerospace industry, ideally working on aircraft configuration control at an MRO facility
- Experience of working with production control packages (MRP / ERP). Experience of SAP would be desirable
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages
- Good communication skills and be able to work as part of a global company
- Comprehensive knowledge of the aircraft publications arena, ideally with EASA 145 / CAMO / Part M airworthiness compliance experience. Efficient in reading and understanding Aircraft documentation required. Experience of Boeing data system is desirable
